The cashmere hair and raw material is sourced in Hohhot, Ordos, Baotou and Ulanqab area, part of Inner Mongolia Province. From cashmere goats: Alasan, Arbus, Erlangshan. Arbas breeds are very famous for their undercoat, which is why we prefer the most for our mongolian cashmere production.

Regular wool is less important economically to our region. In Inner Mongolia, only 50% of farmers / mongolian cashmere companies have around 500 sheep or less, and breeds consist of local indigenous mongolian sheep. Major breeding companies are importing and multiplying genetics from Australia with the Merino, Dorset, Dorper and Suffolk breeds because it is superior to ours.

Tasmania has some of the most precious and rare wool in the world. Tasmanian wool is known globally for the exceptional standards of its fibers, an indicator, and a natural result of a healthy environment. The slow-growing pasture provides a protein-rich food source for the animals, the moderate year-round temperatures promotes uniform fiber growth, and the clean air and freshwater gives nutrients to the surrounding biodiversity.

In our production, we use only pure organic Australian Merino Wool.

Traceability is the capability to trace something. In some cases, it is interpreted as the ability to verify the history, location, or application of an item by means of documented recorded identification.

We have established a system which we record all the origin of cashmere raw material. Which means for the cashmere end products sold, Costumers can check the entire process from the source to the delivery.

Our Traceability system includes the following:

• Find the perfect goat herders and pasture
• Register the location, cashmere origin, cashmere goat breed and cashmere raw material DNA
• Track the logistics of cashmere raw material
• Create a quality inspection report
• Protect the quality cashmere breed in the source and origin
• Help herders improve their lives, pay them fairly and investing in long term cooperation
• Warehousing

We do not produce cashmere yarn, but as a knitwear manufacturer we are obliged to verify every process of yarn production. We are honored and extremely lucky to be able to work with the three largest and most experienced spinning mills in the country.

Yarns are dyed, spun, and engineered with the environment in mind, ensuring there are no harmful chemicals used in the production process and being conscientious that pollution is not leaked into the water or air. Our yarns and dyes are certified by multiple institutes, including meeting the organic standards by OEKO-TEX, Gots, SFA and SGS.

For more details please check our Certifications page.

Organic Cashmere fabric is made by using pure cashmere raw materials and its natural colors of cashmere such as Light Cream, Light Grey, Beige, and Brown. For any other colors, the cashmere dyeing process includes low-impact dyes or biodegradable natural dyes. Although these methods are extremely time-consuming and costly, the result is undeniably worth it, because of higher cashmere quality, fibers are softer, thicker, fully-fledged, and will last a lifetime.

Regular cashmere fabric is abundantly treated with bleaches, heavy chemicals and metals, synthetic dyes, softeners, and other substances that are destroying cashmere raw fiber’s physical structure and properties. Regular cashmere often is usually produced with extra washes and softeners to mask the damaged fibers.

NOTE: Although we use the most advanced modern technology, it is impossible to produce any clothing with absolute zero-emission. We are trying our best to find and develop methods to produce cashmere products with the lowest environmental impact as possible.

A low-impact cashmere dye is a dye that has been classified by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (an international certification institution) as eco-friendly and sustainable. Low-impact dyes are dyes with a higher than average absorption rate (70%-80% depending on the color). It means less water is required in the rinse process, and less dye runs off in the water; therefore, the dyes have a lower impact on the environment. Low-impact dyes do not contain heavy metals (like chrome, copper, and zinc), nor do they require chemical mordants to fix them to the fiber.
Low-impact dyes directly bond with the garment fibers rather than merely remaining as an independent chemical entity within the fiber.

The Advantages:

• Contain no heavy metals or other known toxic substances and do not need mordants.
• Are easy to apply and are available in a wide range of color and wash-fast bright colors.
• The fixation or absorption rate of low-impact dyes is at least 70-80%, creating less waste water runoff than conventional dyeing processes.
• Are applied at relatively low temperatures (30ºC compared to the 100ºC needed for direct dyes), saving energy, and require controlled amounts of salt and alkali.
• The high cost of this dye becomes an environmental advantage, as it is cheaper to reclaim dye from its effluent rather than discharge it all and start from scratch. The water can also be recycled.
• The dye cycle is shorter than it is for other dye processes, meaning less water, salt, and chemicals are needed.
• The entire process occurs typically at a pH of around 7.0, meaning no acids or alkalis need to be added to the water.
• Recent advances have created fiber-reactive dyes with colors that are brighter and richer, and they provide excellent colorfast properties.

The Disadvantages:

• Like other environmentally damaging dyes, reactive dyes are made from synthetic petrochemicals.
• The process requires very high concentrations of salt (0%-80% of the weight of the goods dyed), alkali, and water. Even if the unfixed dye is reclaimed, the effluent from this process can still contain high concentrations of salts, surfactants, and defoamers, and are strongly alkaline.
• It's quite expensive, whereas conventional dye is cheap.
• The effluent contains typically salt, alkali, detergent, and between 0% to 50% of dye used.

Dyeing cashmere with conventional dyes can be harmful and may contain heavy metals or carcinogens. If you’ve ever bought a new shirt and gotten a rash, you may be reacting to the dye. Low impact dyes, which we are exclusively using, are not creating any allergic reactions. Additionally, they require less water and rinsing, lower amounts of required inputs like salts or soda ash, and work at lower temperatures. Whereas only 40-50% of conventional dye may stay on the fabric, the absorption rate for low impact dyes is 70-80% meaning a lot less dye is wasted.

Natural dyes refer to pigments that exist organically and come from sources found in nature such as plants, animals, fruits, insects, and minerals without the involvement of any chemicals in the process.

The Advantages:

• Minimal Environmental Impact. Because they come from natural sources, natural dyes are not harmful to the environment, which makes it so appealing for consumers. Natural dyes are biodegradable, and disposing of them doesn’t cause pollution.
• Renewable. Natural dyes are obtained from renewable sources that can be harnessed without imposing harm on the environment.
• Color pay-off. If you’re going for a soft hue or soothing shade, natural dyes can help you achieve that look.
• Overall Safe. Some natural dyes, such as carmine found in lipsticks, will not cause harm or health problems when ingested.

The Disadvantages:

• More water is required when using natural dyes.
• Natural dyes fade when exposed to light and also wash off easily.
• You cannot attain a wide range of hues and shades using natural dyes.
• Textiles dyed with natural dyes are more expensive.
• It takes a lot more natural dye to color a fabric.
• To some extent, it may contain naturally occurring poisonous substances.
• While natural dye sources are renewable, sustainability can still be an issue for natural dyes because producing them requires vast areas of land.
• It can be challenging to produce because the availability of raw materials can vary from season to season, place, and species, whereas synthetic dyes can be produced in laboratories all year round.

We apologize we cannot disclose such information. Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer is devoted to honor our strict privacy policies as well as to respect our customer’s confidentiality.
We do not share, sell, collect, or rent any of the information to any third parties.

For the last couple of years, we go to different trade shows, exhibitions, and events less and less. We believe there are several disadvantages such as costs, time-consumption, competition, poor (ROI) results, and low turnouts that does not justify the investments. Statistically, the majority of our potential customers find us online. Most of our customers prefer the convenience of ordering risk-free products and samples online instead of spending their valuable time and money by traveling abroad.

All requests for permission to enter the factory's property must be made three (3) months before the visit. No visitors are allowed in our workplace nor on the factory's property unless authorized by our General Manager. These strict policies are made not only to protect the visitors and our workflow but also to protect the safety and security of our workplace as well as exclusive designs and copyrighted clothing designs, which may be seen in our workshop.

NOTE: If you are a new customer, your request for visiting our manufacturer will most likely be declined. Visitors indirectly impact our workflow speed.

Our factory’s sample showroom doors are always open for anyone with prior appointments to see and check our cashmere products. We do not maintain any costly retail storefronts or showrooms. All of the products on our website ship directly from the manufacturer's distribution center to your home. This highly efficient business model allows us to offer a much more extensive selection and lower prices than you will find in retail stores. We provide you with high-quality images, detailed product descriptions, as well as a knowledgeable staff to assist you with selecting the products that are perfect for you.

We are always happy to arrange meetings between customers and our production managers; however, we do not accept walk-in meetings. Meetings can be arranged after we have received your tech packs/specification sheets, and therefore, initial production quotes have been provided for you.

We do not have an active membership on Alibaba.com and the reason is simple: is not worth it, it is too expensive. A yearly membership subscription (depending on ranking and ads package) would cost us 7,000-30,000 USD - that would not let us keep our prices as low, thus we have decided to rather pass the savings to you.

We are a medium family-run cashmere clothing factory focused on the highest quality, ethical and sustainable cashmere production with export/import licenses and a dedicated team of International Export Specialists.

Yes, a vertically integrated manufacturer is when a manufacturer controls more than one stage of the supply chain. That's the process businesses use to turn raw material into a product and get it to the consumer.
There are four phases of the supply chain: commodities, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. A cashmere company is vertically integrated when it controls two or more of these stages.

Yes, all of our Organic Cashmere is certified by GOTS, which stands for Global Organic Textile Standard.

GOTS is the highest level of certification available for organic fabrics. To be able to receive this certification, our products are evaluated throughout the manufacturing process — from their very beginnings as raw materials to their final fabrication as garments or blankets.
It forbids the use of harmful pesticides, toxic heavy metals, and chlorine bleach. It requires that all dyes meet safety requirements on toxicity and biodegradability.
The factories that produce GOTS products are required to provide safe working conditions and fair living wages for all of their employees.

To us, ethically making cashmere clothing is the core idea of our business. It means we provide healthy and safe working environments. We help to reduce poverty by offering above the average salaries for our workers, we have become a sustainable community and trying our best to minimize the environmental impact.

One important thing needs to be cleared out:
There are no manufacturers in the world that can produce clothing with absolute zero-emission. Many fashion brands claim to provide conscious, sustainable clothing, but in reality, it is simply a marketing tool to trick the customers into buying their products. Most of the manufacturer’s emissions are always above the required numbers; that is why, for the last few years, the Chinese government terminated thousands of manufactures. Modern technologies haven’t reached the level we need yet, but we are continually searching for newer eco-friendly methods.

Our approach to sustainability and the central core ideology is in continuously searching and finding solutions to produce responsible cashmere clothing with emissions as low as possible. Our cashmere is made by implementing low-impact and natural dying methods which are sustained by a Closed Loop Water Filtration System. We also believe that Longevity is an essential part of sustainability. We try to educate our customers to become more conscious and considerate of their purchases by focusing on timeless classics, staples, dye-free / natural color products, and slow fashion items that in 50-100 years, will still be relevant and look beautiful.

We unanimously prefer Email contact for several reasons:

• There is much less room for error. Phone calls are verbal, and there is no record of the contents of a phone call, only that a phone call occurred.

• Both you and the employees of Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer have the full power to review the entirety of a conversation. It is advantageous to both parties.

 II. Development

At Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer, we specialize in helping people with little to no knowledge of the industry; we want to be a platform that helps you grow. Don't be shy – get in touch with us and we will be happy to assist you.

We receive inquiries on a weekly basis from people wanting to start their label, which gets us excited as it's assuring evidence of the strong entrepreneurial spirit that exists in these challenging economic times. Some proposals are significant and have been carefully thought through, which puts us in a better position to assist. Some aren't. We advise people to do as much research into their market and spend time developing a plan that promotes their product in the best possible way.

It's also essential that people have a basic understanding of the production process and all the variables involved in delivering a garment to market. Many stages contribute to the production cycle – all take time to do it properly and are sometimes even out of our control.

The unfortunate reality is that we cannot deliver on every proposal, which in most cases comes down to whether we have the relevant production capabilities or the quantities are too small and therefore not feasible for both parties, but we will always try our best to be a part of your beautiful project and to make it happen.

Absolutely. We will assist and teach you the right words to achieve the results you want.

Fortunately, we cannot - because there is no such thing. The words combination of “cheap” and “quality” should never be used in a fashion manufacturing industry — cheap means unethical, bad business practices and of course low-quality production.

Yes, but before we can setup a meeting with one of our representatives, we will need you to contact us and share all information pertaining to your project for review.

Technical Packet (Tech Pack) is an informative sheet (a blueprint) that designers create to communicate with a manufacturer all the necessary components needed to construct a product. Typically, designers will include measurements, materials, colors, trim, hardware, grading, labels, tags, etc.

Fortunately, no. You can share with us all the information such as measurements, reference images, drawings, sketches or mockups and then we will try to create the tech pack for you; however, if you have a completed tech pack, we will incorporate it into our work for you.

Our job is to provide the technical expertise to bring your ideas to life. We cannot make any artistic design decisions for you, but we will help you build your vision and give directions on the most efficient way to do it.

1. Technical Package. It provides clear instructions as to how the style will be produced (including fabric composition, weight, detailed line drawing of the product, construction details, full-size grading specifications for fabric consumption consideration, etc.

2. Prototype. Every product is individually quoted based on its unique requirements. We do not have a price list for custom garment manufacturing services.

NOTE: It is not possible to make a precise price quotation without a proper tech pack. We can only give you a rough estimate based on your reference images, drawings, sketches, or mockups. Make sure all your details are very clear.

We understand your concern, but it solely depends on the product. For example, a very basic crew neck sweater with a very easy-to-handle design and simple knitting technique could cost around $40 per unit if you're placing a large order, but the same crew neck sweater with sophisticated knitting design, higher weight and difficult embroideries at 100 units could cost around $80 per unit. It's impossible to quote costs until we know the product specs and details.

To offer a firm piece-rate price, we need to counter-sample your product. We can't provide quotes on something we have never handled or seen. Quotes based on pictures, tech packs, or drawings are only approximate estimates.

Price is a relative topic, a price is low or high compared to what? We are sorry for being straightforward, but how can you say the price is high for a product that you never touched or experienced? You can not judge a product unless you touched with your own hands to check the quality of craftsmanship and feel the softness of the fibers.

If you are dealing with cashmere and you are buying at a cheap price - the cashmere you are buying is most likely a blend with other materials.

We never look up nor we compare to any other manufacturers, we are simply focusing on ourselves by working hard and by creating cashmere products that are organic and superior to anything on the market.

Unlike other big manufacturers, we are a medium-sized manufacturer, and thus we are passionate about quality rather than quantity.

NOTE: Keep in mind that we are always open to negotiate the price within a reasonable range.

We want to be a platform that helps you grow. We take into consideration every customer disregarding the order purchase size. We have created three teams which accordingly are taking care of small, medium, and large quantity orders.

Considering the negative environmental impact of a physical catalog, we do not produce a printed version of our cashmere products catalog. We add new items to our site very frequently making a printed version nearly impossible to keep current. Our online catalogs has been developed to make it easy to view, search, and purchase from the comfort and convenience of your own home.

If you would like a sample, we will be happy to accommodate your request, just Email us the product codes, pictures, drawings, or tech packs of the samples you prefer, and we will offer detailed information about each product.

Samples are not free, but don't worry once you place a wholesale bulk order with us, we will fully refund the sample fee or use it as a credit for the wholesale bulk order purchase.

- If you require a sample from our inventory, the sample fee will be at 2x (two times) the wholesale bulk cost.

- If you require a custom sample that is based on your measurements (Technical Packet and Specifications Sheet), we will add a setup fee that will consist of 3x (three times) the estimated wholesale bulk cost.

For example, if a sweater's wholesale price is 50USD  - then the sample fee is 2x times the wholesale price: 50x2=100USD
When you order 10 pieces the total wholesale bulk price will be 500USD then we will deduct the sample fee which is 50USD therefore 500-50=450USD

The reason we are implementing this strategy because we had many cases in the past when people are ordering samples at wholesale prices, and then they disappeared. While we can technically produce a finished sample for any garment - the cost of a sample is prohibitively expensive in small quantities.

NOTE: There are no minimums for samples.

The setup fee is the cost incurred to get the equipment ready to process a different batch of goods. Setup fees include the costs of changing the tools or dies on the equipment, creating the molds, moving materials or components, and testing the initial output to be sure it meets the specifications. In addition to the out-of-pocket costs, such as the labor cost of setting up the equipment, there is a much higher cost. The higher cost of setup is the lost opportunity of manufacturing profitable output while the machine is idled during the setup time.
The setup fee is also is a quick way to filter out the non-serious customers.
As a manufacturer, we are configured to produce large orders of hundreds or thousands of units or more. The larger the order, the higher the discount and the happier we are to produce.

NOTE: Setup fees are completely reimbursed or used as a credit for the wholesale bulk order purchase.

If the samples are in stock, we will ship within 24-48 hours after we receive your payment.

Knitwear samples will be produced within 7-9 business days
Knitted Scarfs samples will be produced within 7-9 business days
Woven Coats samples will be produced within 7-14 business days
Woven Scarfs samples will be produced within 14-21 business days

NOTE: The sample order might be delayed because of the busy season or design complexity.

OEM refers to Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means: we can produce items strictly based on your design, measurement, fabric composition, and color. The main advantage of OEM is that the designer retains total creative control over the design.

Yes, we accept OEM orders. All we need is your Tech Packet with instructions.

An ODM (also known as a Private Label, White Label or Original Design Manufacturer) product is manufactured by a contract or third-party manufacturer and sold under a retailer's brand name. As the Customer specifies everything about the product – what goes in it, how it's packaged, what the label looks like – and pay to have it produced and delivered to your store. In other words: A private brand is a product that is manufactured for and sold under the name of a specific retailer and competes with brand-name products. Also referred to as "private label", "white label" or "store brand" prices for private brands tend to be less than those of nationally recognized name brand goods. Private brand items can provide retailers with a better margin than the brand-name goods they also carry. When a garment buyer buys ODM garments, they will ask the factory to put their label on the garments knowing that other buyers will buy the same garment and put on a different label.

Yes, we accept ODM (also known as a Private Label, White Label or Original Design Manufacturer) orders. For ODM orders, we require the design of your labels, logos, and tags. We can customize your labels and provide different options of label sizes from which you can choose depending on what quality the fabric you want the labels to be, and then we can easily sew them in. Also, you can ship your labels to us.

Our Private Label Program features an in-stock apparel line of classic, staple pieces ready for made-to-order branding. It's an easy and inexpensive way to start your private label brand. Our Private Label Program is the perfect solution for customers seeking garments that are just waiting to be customized, dyed, screen-printed, embroidered, or embellished. Select your style of choice along with the desired colors. Then, provide us with the labels to be sewn in. Alternatively, we will gladly work with you to develop a custom-branded label for your line.

Each market and region has different size standards.
Email us, and we will offer more details about the size charts.
Our stock inventory may not 100% fit your marketplace's standard size chart.
Wholesale bulk orders and OEM Samples are produced strictly by your size chart standards.

Yes, once a sample in one size is confirmed as correct, and you confirm your production then we will help you to do your size grading.

Unfortunately, we do not produce in every size. We will produce one sample of each style in one size, and once you have reviewed and approved the samples, we will start to grade the sizes for mass production.

For more details please check our Color Chart page.

Precise color matching depends on the services you need.
We are using Pantone® Color Matching System.
As long as you provide the Pantone® TCX Code, we will be able to produce a 90%-96.9% matching color.

NOTE: If you require a custom color, then the total order quantity per color should exceed 300-500 pieces.

While some manufacturers do have fabric swatches available, many do not. We will be more than happy to provide swatches if available. For those not available, we would suggest you purchase a full garment piece so you could feel the fullness and quality of the fabric.

The pricing of wool/cashmere blends it's very difficult to give you estimates because it depends on the product, weight, and ratio percentage of cashmere/wool blending.

The cashmere color books are available for purchase.
Color card books are free for wholesale bulk order clients.
Please contact us to get more information.
For more details please check our Color Chart page.

Yes, we do have these capabilities, if you need anything beyond these services, please Email us, we will be happy to assist you.

We can source material options for you, but the decision of which materials to use is up to you. We will offer our expertise to help you make this choice, but since these materials are such an integral part of the design, the designer must have input and ultimately make the decision.

The materials or components except the main fabric used in the garments are called clothing trimmings or garment accessories. Items that are used for various peripheral complementary purposes are labels, sewing threads, buttons, zippers, velcro, shoulder pad, linings, interlinings, and many other things. We can supply them, but keep in mind that custom clothing trimmings and garment accessories often require large MOQ.

NOTE: We do not supply fur or leather for ethical reasons.

Of course, we have an in house graphic designer that can work with you to produce your print.

Please provide us the vector files in CDR, AI, EPS, PSD or PDF. High-resolution JPG is acceptable as well.

Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer is a full-service garment manufacturer; we supply everything for your orders. If you are interested in supplying certain materials on your own, we suggest that you contact a CMT (Cut, Make, Trim) or FPP (Full Package Production) contractor.

Yes, it is easier for us to copy than to make it by using your Tech Pack, but it is a little bit tricky, here's why: While we are happy to work through a market sample(s) for fit and design inspiration, we do not design or produce replicas of existing high fashion designs, but as long as you will alter 20% of the original style we can copy - otherwise you will get in trouble because it is illegal to sell high fashion brands copycats.

IMPORTANT: Clothing designs are actually not protected under trademark, patent, or copyright law. Because clothing is a utilitarian item—something that people use—it cannot be copyrighted. However, there may be aspects of the clothing that can be copyrighted. For example, if you design a sweater with a unique symbol/logo on them and that symbol has a visual function that is separate from the actual function of the sweater then the symbol/logo can be protected by copyright law. It is extremely rare a piece of clothing can be patented.

We are devoted to honor our strict privacy policies as well as to respect our Customers' confidentiality. We do not share, sell, collect, or rent any of the information to any third parties simply because we want to build an everlasting business relationship with you.

We usually sign Non-Disclosure Agreements, when it incorporates a new form of technology, or proprietary fabric or construction method not currently on the market. When we sign a Non-Disclosure Agreements you need to provide legal proof that you indeed are the creator and owner of the technologies, designs, styles, tech packs, pictures, drawings, etc. You must prepare the Non-Disclosure Agreement with your attorney and attach the following list of legal proof:

1. Company registration (mandatory)
2. Trademark registration
3. Copyright registration (mandatory)
4. Patent registration (mandatory)
5. Ownership sub-contract

We are implementing this strategy because we want to protect ourselves. In the past, we had customers who offered designs that were copied from famous brands, and they were saying they created. We do not want to get in trouble because of that. We hope you could understand this aspect of the fashion world business.

We have no interest in selling, sharing, promoting anyone's designs, drawings, or tech packs because we value our relationship with you more than money.

Yes, we can easily prepare a Manufacturing and Supply Agreement for you. We will only need you to provide a copy of your Company registration information.

We keep our clients confidential and do not share any work we do for them with anyone else without explicit permission from our clients. The best way to see work we've done for clients who've permitted us to share is to view our Instagram and Facebook feed.

Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer retains copies of all files we have digitized. If you require your digitized artwork files, we will deliver them to you. Please let us know if you need your artwork files.

If you fail to reply or approve any sample we Emailed or Sent to you within one (1) month, your order will automatically be put on hold and will restart when we receive your approval.

It depends on the season, services rendered, the complexity of the order, other production orders in the schedule, what machines your garments require, and quantities.

If the items are in stock, we will ship within 24-48 hours after we receive your payment
Wholesale bulk orders will be produced within 7-21 business days

NOTE: During the holidays and/or busy season, all orders are produced slower than usual. Shipping times are not included in the lead time order estimate.

It depends on what stage are we into production and what kind of changes you want to make. Please Email us as soon as possible and let us know what changes you consider to make.

• Make sure you are ready to order.
• Make sure all the information you submit is correct and complete, especially payment information.
• Promptly reply to our Emails with any change requests and approvals. We will contact you through the process of ordering custom apparel. Failure on your part to reply with approvals or change requests will result in a delay in your order. We will not produce anything without your written approval.
• Avoid unnecessary contact with Mongolia Cashmere Manufacturer. We are more than happy to give you an update on the status of your order! However, calling or Emailing us with too much frequency can distract our employees and delay production.

NOTE: We will inform you about any delays in the process of production.

Unfortunately, we cannot rush your order. We follow a straightforward strategy: First come - First served.
We always urge our customers to place orders in advance.

Quality control in apparel manufacturing can make or break a factory. Many cashmere manufacturers struggle with understanding the acceptable quality level of their different clients worldwide. It is the subject of heated debate between buyers and manufacturers. One buyer can be satisfied with a manufacturer's goods, while the other buyer is canceling his order. It's a complicated issue.

More experienced buyers that have seen a lot of different goods from different manufacturers have a better understanding of what quality level is realistically achievable when manufacturing garments. Inexperienced buyers or start-ups can end up disappointed when expectation perfection. It is also possible for inexperienced buyers to simply overlook a lot of issues other buyers consider problems. The only framework there is the one established by QC companies. They check based on the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standard.

The range is from 1.0 to 4.0. The top one (1.0) being the highest standard. A production free of any defects, not even minor ones. For most factories in the larger manufacturing hubs, this is unachievable. Some highly skilled small factories in Italy or Japan can guarantee this standard for expensive brands in the world. The lowest one (4.0) is achievable, even in low-cost areas in India or Bangladesh. If you can accept this quality standard, you can have a relatively low-cost product, but your quality level will be below that of, for example, H&M, Old Navy etc.

Low-cost retailers generally keep 3.5 or 3.0. Middle market brands generally keep 2.0-2.5. The checking system is a defect count by the quality controller. They count a percentage of stains, holes, loose threads, quality issues, etc. In China 2.0-2.5 is realistically achievable.
An objective way to discuss quality level with a new manufacturer is to advise them on the maximum defect ration you can accept. It is up to your manufacturer to decide whether he can accept your standard or not. Generally speaking, a factory is working at a certain quality level. If a factory mostly does lower standard goods, it is not likely they will make your goods at a better standard. Experienced buyers and longtime clients generally do get a better result than new clients or inexperienced buyers. A longtime client can be something for the manufacturer to cherish and make him work more carefully. Experienced buyers have better ways of communicating with manufacturers on what's a realistic standard.

Managing the quality of our garments is essential for our business. Throughout production, we ensure that our processes are adhered to, for example:

Fabric: All fabric delivered to the factory is checked when developing the inventory. Any flaws and faults are addressed immediately with the supplier.

Patterns: All patterns are cross-checked with corresponding specification sheets and measurement charts prior to cutting the fabric.

Cutting: The cutters are required to obtain the Production Manager's approval to cut the fabric once it is marked up.

Production: Each tailor works on an entire garment and is responsible for ensuring the garment measurements match the specification sheet.

Finishing: All garments are measured, cross-checked, and pressed by the QC team before packing. Spot-checks: The Directors and Production Manager undertake regular spot checks to ensure a high level of quality is consistently maintained.

Because fabrics and garments are made by mostly manual labor, there will be differences between what you approved and what the production of a few thousand pieces look. Prepare for your measurements to be bigger or smaller on some. How big that difference is can be the subject of heated debate. Many factors will influence this, such as the fabric quality, sensitivity of the fabric quality to shrinkage, difficulty of the design, washing methods, transportation time and more.

When reviewing your fitting samples discuss with your manufacturer what the tolerance is he requires. Most manufacturers will ask for 1cm tolerance, but don’t be shocked if a manufacturer requests 1.5 or 2cm tolerance. Some items do need that kind of tolerance. If you feel uncomfortable with the requested tolerance, you can consider switching to another manufacturer.

There is also a tolerance for fabric weight and fabric color. The middle part or the edges of the fabric can be different weights. Different fabric rolls can also be different weights. Not all fabrics are dyed at the same time; sometimes, there are two or three dye lots with slight differences. Tolerance on fabric is usually discussed by the manner of a percentage, for example, 5%. Before purchasing bulk materials, you can ask your manufacturer what the tolerance percentage is he wants you to accept.
Be cautioned that even though for weight, the percentage is easy to measure, for color, it is much harder. What some consider 5% others consider 10%.

There is no industry standard for this, other than costly color scanners most manufacturers do not use. The best advice is if you ask your manufacturer for previous production bulk fabrics and lab dips, for example, what they made for their other clients. You can advise based on that whether it is acceptable for you or not.

Yes, we are proud to introduce our policy of a 100% quality guarantee for all our products. We offer 100% quality assurance. If you order 100 pieces, you will get 100 pieces which are accurate as per your description. Our 100% quality guarantee policy includes:

 VII. Miscellaneous

Cashmere is often referred to as The Golden Fleece and is the quintessence of luxury: a reputation certainly upheld by its sublime characteristics. However, why is it so expensive?

The hefty price tag is due to the scarcity of this fiber, the difficulty of its collection, and the lengthy process from raw material to finished product.

Cashmere wool comes from breeds of goat which are found predominately in Mongolia, Tibet, China, Pakistan and Iran and make up a population of barely 110 million worldwide. The number may seem significant, but indeed it isn't: in fact, each goat can supply no more than 300 grams of wool—250 grams on average—per year. It is because the fibers used to produce cashmere may be collected only in the spring when these animals naturally shed their sought-after undercoat.

Once the undercoat is collected, it must be de-haired and cleaned before so we could remove the straighter, coarser hairs of the goats' upper coat. Dehairing is a labor-intensive, often manual process the harvested fleece must undergo before it is ready to be sold as cashmere. The resulting wool will then be dyed, spun into yarn or woven into the fabric, and finally turned into a fine cashmere garment.

After such a lengthy process, it will take the wool from more than two goats to produce a single 2-ply sweater, that is why the price on these precious items is so high.

Cashmere can last for years if properly cared. It's best to avoid washing it more than necessary. First of all, never dry clean or machine wash cashmere. Both cleaning processes are too rough on the fabric, and they risk stripping the protective natural lanolin from the fibers. Purchase a low-alkaline detergent for delicate items, or use baby shampoo as the cleaning agent. The following easy six steps will considerably prolong your cashmere's lifetime:

1. Fill a basin with warm water (70-85 degrees is ideal) and add a small amount of shampoo without conditioner.
2. Gently swirl the cashmere garment in the water for a couple of minutes, taking care not to rub, stretch, or pull the material.
3. Empty and refill the basin to rinse the item. Repeat as needed until no more soap is detectable.
4. Gently squeeze to remove excess water, and transfer the item to a towel. Blot dry.
5. If the item is still very wet, roll it gently between two fresh towels to remove excess water.
6. Allow the item to dry flat on a mesh drying rack or a towel until dry.

Softness. Cashmere is known for its softness producing a luxury feel. Cashmere is from the soft fleecy under the layer of a cashmere goats coat. These fibers are of an extremely fine diameter which is why cashmere feels so soft. Besides, cashmere is a high loft fiber (air within the fiber) which translates into a plush, luxurious fabric with a silky feel. When properly cared for, cashmere gets softer with age.

Insulation. Cashmere is up to 3 times more insulating than regular sheep's wool. The reason for providing superior insulation is due to the harsh climate the cashmere goats live in, with extreme cold weather conditions.

Lightweight. Cashmere is a lightweight fabric in comparison to the warmth it offers. Cashmere clothing is never bulky, which makes it easy to travel with – it won't take up too much space in your suitcase.

Wrinkle-Resistant. Cashmere doesn't wrinkle, making it an ideal fabric for travel clothing, when you won't always have an iron on hand.

Elegance. Cashmere drapes beautifully, and due to its lightweight nature and resistance to wrinkles, it's a fabric that always looks elegant and flattering.

Comfort. Not only does cashmere keep you warm without adding bulk, but it also has natural stretch, so you can quickly move while wearing it.

Moisture Wicking. Cashmere has high moisture content and as the humidity changes in the air, so does its insulation, making it comfortable in all climates, even warm ones. The fibers have water repellent exteriors, and the interior attracts water, this means that it attracts moisture, such as sweat, away from the body.

No Scratchiness. Many people avoid wool due to the scratchy feeling against the skin. Cashmere is soft and feels great against the skin as the fibers are much more delicate than wool and are spun tightly to produce a smooth, soft texture.

Breathable. Unlike synthetic fibers which can leave you hot and sweaty, cashmere allows your body to breathe, which helps regulate temperature.

Luxury. Cashmere is considered a luxury material and the best of all-natural fibers. It is not only because of how amazing it feels against the skin but also because of the price. The higher cost of cashmere is due to the effort involved in collecting cashmere fibers. It must be done by hand during spring molting season, resulting in a relatively small yield and scarcity. It takes at least three cashmere goats to produce enough fiber in a year to create a clothing item such as a sweater.

Hypoallergenic. Cashmere has hypoallergenic properties making it a desirable choice for baby clothes and blankets as well as those with allergies.

Smart Investment. When cashmere is taken care properly, it can last a lifetime. It is a timeless fabric, and classic styles will always be on-trend.

Single-Ply yarn is made up of one long thread. A multi-ply yarn is made of two, three, or even four or five threads twisted together.

Single, or one-ply, yarns are individual strands composed of fibers held together by at least a small amount of twist or filaments grouped either with or without a twist. Single yarns of the spun type, composed of many short fibers, require a twist to hold them together and are made with either S-twist or Z-twist. Individual yarns are used to make the most excellent variety of fabrics.

Ply, plied, or folded, yarns are composed of two or more single yarns twisted together. Two-ply yarn, for example, is composed of two single strands; three-ply yarn is composed of three single strands. In making ply yarns from spun strands, the individual strands are usually each twisted in one direction and are then combined and twisted in the opposite direction. When both the single strands and the final ply yarns are twisted in the same direction, the fiber is firmer, producing harder texture and reducing flexibility. Ply yarns provide strength for heavy industrial fabrics and are also used for delicate-looking sheer fabrics.

The word gauge (technical abbreviation GG) is used in knitting, and it defines the fineness or thickness of a yarn. Gauge is measured by counting the number of needles (on a knitting machine bed) over several inches then dividing by the number of inches in the width of the sample. A gauge is the number of stitches per inch you create on the horizontal, and number of rows per inch on the vertical.
